Wish List: Part Four

Well it's already Wish List #4, and probably won't be too long until it's 104... As you may be able to tell, I have crazy amounts of things on my wish lists (with prices wayyyy out of my range) but it can't hurt to set goals, right? Well that's what I'm telling myself this is, Goal List: Part Four. Please just go along with it. Okay, I realize I need serious help.

Oh how gorgeous is she. I've wanted the Alexander Wang Rocco Duffel for I don't know how long, but since it's been tumblrized (when something goes out of style because girls on tumblr blow it up and have tacky, overdone street style pics with girls with top knots and cliche louboutins... a pet peeve of mine if you couldn't tell) so this is my new love. A bucket bag with the iconic Alexander Wang hardware on the bottom.

Love these "shooties." Shoes that look like boots or vice versa. They are so fun, metallic, and snakeskin embossed. What else would you want.

I love vintage tees, but vintage looking tees are just the same. I probably would wear it just like the model, with a button down wrapped around my waist.

It's pretty much known to everyone on the planet that I am a New York/London girl. This would be so comfortable and effortless, while showing off my (imaginary) roots. Plus it reminds me of a big Appalachian State sweatshirt that belonged to my moma in college that I wear constantly.

It is my dream to be able to encapsulate my spirit animal, Audrey. I mean I dedicate my blog to her, my life, my everything, so why can't I at least try to dress like her. Now I am totally against people trying to be her, that is a huge no-no in my mind (and if I see somebody trying to do it I will whip them, like girls who try to dress up as Holly Golightly for halloween.. no, go away) but classic black trousers, black shirt, and balet flats isn't too hard, right? I would add my own little flair of bright white socks, just for some contrast.

You can never have too many boyfriend jeans, and since I only have one pair (and they have the massive American Eagle stitching on the butt) I figured it's time that I invest in a quality pair. I love the cut and wash of these, and feel as if they have the perfect amount of distress.

Since the bucket bag above is 800+ dollars, I found this cute little Marc one that is small enough that it is precious, but looks as if it would be useful and carry all of my junk.

I'm obsessed with sandals that tie around the ankle, and these are in the most precious baby pink but then edgified with the snake skin.

Samuji is this awesome, semi-new/up and coming brand that I love. It has gotten attention from fashion celebs like Leandra Medine, and since I agree with her on everything, I think that this brand is awesome.

Get to Know

I'm starting a new series of posts called 'Get to Know' where I will find people who I think display a very special, confident style, and have them answer a couple of questions. Mainly I just wanted to see if some other people were as kooky and fashion oriented as I am. So to start, I will post my answers to the questions, some fashion related, others not.

1. Style Icon(s): Audrey Hepburn, my spirit animal, and Poppy Delevingne, my soul sister, and Mira Duma, my russian doll

Favorite Designer: Temperley London, Stella McCartney, Rochas, Giambattista Valli, MSGM, too many to choose from! I try to be rather "label-less," so I like to mix labels or designers (in my head since I can't afford them), so I don't get caught up in wearing the clothes for the label and not the look.

One thing you can't live without: My camera/phone. I'm probably the most sentimental person ever, so I am constantly documenting my life with pictures, writing things down that people say in a note pad.. yeah it's pretty bad.

Why you love fashion: I don't love fashion, I live off of fashion. It's my lifeline, my best friend, my worst enemy, my everything. I can't drive down the road without seeing something and being inspired by it. It's my way of escaping reality and putting myself in a new place for a day or even for a couple of hours. It helps me feel like myself and gives me confidence. And most importantly, it helps me remember my memories. Weird, I know, but I can look at an outfit in my closet and remember exactly what I did in it, where I went, and who I was I with. Fashion is teaches me to dream, appreciate what I have, and work for what I don't, and I am forever grateful because of it.

Style Aesthetic: This is possibly the hardest question on the planet for me.. I consider myself to be feminine, masculine, structured, loose-fitting, boho, vintage, classic, and about any other adjective you could think of. I love to try everything, and mix everything, but basically, if I find something that I think is beautiful, I'll try it.

On my Wish List: These Miu Miu booties are so fun and borderline ugly that I am obsessed with them It's obvious that I love old style, but this is like I'm about to go out to a women's suffrage rally. I don't know what it is about them, but I am loving them. I think that this bathing suit is so fun and flirty and I hope that the weather this summer is warm and constant so I won't have to take it off. Who doesn't want a classic chanel bag? Well this camera bag is in the smartest hue and makes me want to cry. Lastly, this skort from Topshop is so fun and almost looks like a globe, which can help soothe my desires to travel.

One person (dead or alive) you would love to have lunch with: Gregory Peck! I'm naming my son after the ideal dad I never had.

Fashion celebrity you would like to shadow: Leandra Medine. She is so crazy and hysterical I just love her! And I guess she doesn't dress that bad...

What city/place can you see yourself living in?: This is so hard for me! I love the mountains in Asheville, New York City (obviously), and London because I am such an anglophile! Maybe I'll be blessed enough to marry a brit, live in NYC, and have time to visit my family back home.

Favorite Movie: Fashion movie/best movie ever, Breakfast at Tiffany's for obvious reasoning and Fried Green Tomatoes because I'm a southern girl at heart and it has such a good story! (and the costume designer is Elizabeth McBride)

Favorite Book: William Faulker's "As I Lay Dying." Since my mom is an English Teacher, I love reading and I love analyzing books. This novel seems like a simple story of a family, but is very deep and emotional if you can get to the real point. I recommend this book to everyone!

If you were a shoe, what kind would you be: A satin, pointed toe heel.

Most treasured possession: My perfume ring that has my initials on it. Usually I am against monograms of all kinds, but this is very near and dear to my heart. My mom gave it to me on my 13th birthday. She has one, and so does my aunt, who has since given it to her daughter.

I hope you have enjoyed this post! Look forward to Elizabeth Hawn of Atlanta State of Mind, and my dear friend Lindsey Hoover, who I think has impeccable style! If you would like to be featured, either comment below or email me at josephandella@gmail.com!

Enchanting Espadrilles

I love the look of a solid espadrille. They are so easy and look almost like slippers, but have the impact of a good loafer. Recently I have been obsessed with the espadrille sneakers (like the Missoni ones below) and the wedges with the ribbons around the ankle. Since summer is almost here, I will be wearing these all the time (and sad but true, Chacos). These little kicks can amp up a simple outfit of denim cutoffs and t shirt. Here are my picks for the summer.

Wish List: Part Two

Here we are again. Well, it's only my second wish list, but only because I've limited myself to one every couple of months. I can't help the fact that I am a compulsive shopaholic so this is an edited version of my hopes and dreams.. even if one item is an entire paycheck for me..

This bag from Building Block is so architecturally sound and I just want to swing this around my wrist.

I'm not usually a big bracelet girl, but this one, with the little eyes is slightly creepy but in a handsome way.

Beads + Bamboo Handle = *sigh*

My favorite color culottes. I'll take them anytime.

Have I said I'm obsessed with symmetry? Well, it's kind of my favorite thing.

Snakeskin is major and the boho twist is totally working

These remind me a little bit of Sophia Websters newest shoes with butterflies and other bugs. Bugs can be chic, too.

Lions are so regal and feel so British that I want to surround myself with them. This is my take on Cara's rocking finger tattoo.

Okay, how cute is this?! This little ring would make me feel like Bridget Bardot in one of my favorite pictures

Handle This

Some brands have iconic labels, logos and prints, but this brand, launched in 2012 by designers Melissa Losada and Marcela Velez, is known for its simple gold handle. The designers were inspired by medieval armor, and in turn mixed that design concept with modern detail. This mix of architecture and luxury is the reason why these bags are on the top of my wish list! The bags have been seen on the streets and the red carpet on people like Leandre Medine, Cate Blachett, and Jessica Alba. Although this bag is essentially out of reach for me financially, I can always dream and hope that one day I will have a bag that has my two favorite concepts: fine lines and something that stands out.

1. Love the classic ivory with the gold. 2. This jade color is major! 3. Purple calf hair, camel, and croc... 4. Love this small calf hair option 5. Leandra doing her thing // 1 via m2malletier.com // 2-4 via pinterest

Wish List

Okay I know that the 10th Commandment says "don't covet your neighbor's house" meaning envy and jealousy is a sin. If that means me wanting every piece of clothing that I see in street style photos is a sin, well then I better prepare myself to burn. Harsh I know, but how am I supposed to see something beautiful and not want it? In my eyes, it only pushes me harder and harder so that one day I will be able to afford clothes that are as much as my house payment. There's nothing better than getting a paycheck and going to spend it on something you've had your eye on for months (granted most of the things I want would take multiple paychecks...). Below is a list of things I'm wanting now, not all of them though, because we would be here all day. By the looks of things, I guess you could say I've changed my mind from yesterday, and now I'm feeling florals and pastels. As far as I know, bipolar style is not a mental disorder.. yet.
